01

When considering the vicious cycle of systemic inequality in housing, education, healthcare, employment, and social justice, employment is the point where a cycle of poverty, underemployment, or mediocrity can be interrupted. A good job can change the lives of an entire family; therefore, workplace inequality is the most insidious.

Kengen’s strategy is to grow a coalition of allies in the workplace who understand the importance of networking with intention, welcoming people from marginalized groups into their life, and the courage to break rank and shift company culture so that everyone has an opportunity to contribute meaningfully, be recognized, and ascend along their chosen career pathway.
